Senior Client Service Account Associate

If you enjoy servicing a portfolio of Commercial and Investment Banking clients with their letter of credit needs, this could be the role for you! 

As a Senior Client Service Account Associate in The Trade and Working Capital Client Service Group, you will be responsible for managing and facilitating the unique and complex service needs of Global Trades client base. Service is delivered in a team-based model with key locations in the US, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia. 

You will maintain a passion for client service in everything you do. You will use communication and relationship management skills to ensure an exceptional level of client satisfaction. You will be responsible for various customer service and relationship management activities related to Global Trade Products primarily focused on Standby Letters of Credit. You will serve as the primary point of service contact for each client within your assigned portfolio, and a senior leader as trade advisor for complex Letter of Credit transactions. The assigned client portfolio may be comprised of operating transactional accounts and complex structuring requests. 

You will handle maintaining Standby Letter of Credit requests, research and resolution of customer’s inquiries, preparing and collecting account documentation and managing internal project initiatives for your portfolio of clients. Additionally, you will be expected, over time, to be able to identify products and services that may benefit clients and improve overall relationship profitability. You will also participate in joint client calls with Bankers and Trade Sales Officers both in person and over the phone.

Job responsibilities:

Negotiate new or existing transactions with clients, external legal advisors, banking and credit teams supporting Standby Letter of Credit TransactionsWork independently and act as escalation point for complex issues to structure and resolve customer requestsManage dedicated Standby Letter of Credit client portfolio having frequent interactions with internal/external clients, working with various areas of the bank for client resolutionProvide timely follow-up to clients, and be accountable for client satisfactionProvide guidance and training to team members based on knowledge of Trade products and services focusing on Standby Letters of CreditServe as a liaison between the Relationship team, Operations, Treasury Management, Sales and Implementations to provide the best service to the client, your department, and the firmStructuring and negotiate Standby LC text in accordance with procedures while mitigating risk to the bank and clientPrioritize daily workload to maximize productivity utilizing time management and organizational skillsCreate and maintain new and existing policies, procedures, and practicesProject a confident and professional presence to our clients, other bank departments and the community

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

5+ years experience in Trade Finance / Letters of CreditRobust background working as advisor negotiating and structuring agreements supporting Letters of CreditStrong focus on client satisfaction and building excellent relationships with customers Excellent communication skills with strong organizational and multi-tasking abilitiesComfortable working within tight deadlines Experience working as advisor/leader having accountability in fast paced service environment while leading with respect and integrity Excellent communication skills both written and verbalRelentless and versatile learner with an aptitude for assimilating new industry, company, product or technical knowledgeHighly organized with ability to manage competing prioritiesDemonstrated, consistent professional presence with the ability to adapt to evolving needs and situations
