**What the department does...**
We deliver human insights to drive firm decision-making through primary and secondary research, as well as foresight. Nearly every area of the firm uses the insights we share from the research we conduct.
We equip internal teams with these insights on broad opportunities so they can develop data-driven business strategies and solutions that address the most critical needs of clients, investors and practice teams - grounded in both internal priorities and external market context.
**What you'll do...**
The Senior Client Insights Manager is responsible for scoping, designing and executing strategic research to deliver actionable insights that directly influence firm decisions and business.
As part of the Research & Insights team, you will be a key contributor in developing investor, client and branch team insights for the firm as you develop strategic research approaches through partnerships with cross-functional teams.
This role will have a high-degree of decision making, specifically around the use of research method, research vendor, degree of team involvement in projects, and prioritization of projects and resources - in partnership with Research & Insights leadership. Your work will provide Edward Jones the ability to ensure insights directly drive growth strategies, innovation roadmaps, differentiated client experiences, and operational prioritization across the business.
**Responsibility Summary:**
+ Provide strategic direction and consult with internal stakeholders and partners to define insights needs and create buy-in on research (client, investor, and branch) work plans.
+ Develop and execute enterprise research and customer intelligence that delivers actionable insights supporting firm priorities, business outcomes, and a deep understanding of client, prospect, and FA behaviors and expectations. This role will support large, cross-divisional projects by delivering insights to inform strategic business decisions.
+ Monitor ongoing developments within the overall financial services research environment to identify strategic opportunities to pursue.
+ Drive client/branch insights information gathering efforts from primary and secondary sources and assess accuracy, validity and materiality as they relate to the financial services industry.
+ Detect emerging trends and sentiment shifts early by using modern data sourcing capabilities, including SEO/AEO signals, search behavior analytics, social listening, and OSINT (open-source intelligence).
+ Communicate insights to business partners and influence them to drive action by providing thought leadership on how such insights impact their overall business objectives.
+ Evaluate project execution, including establishing and tracking project metrics and conducting project assessment. Provide approval at key milestones, including project design, execution phases, and approval of results.
+ Identify, guide, and partner with external vendors to execute client/branch insights projects, as needed.
+ Understand, analyze and recommend various research methodologies to address firmwide business issues. Integrate advanced quantitative, qualitative, and behavioral methodologies in partnership with the broader department to produce comprehensive, high-impact insights.
