What you’ll do:
In this role, you’ll manage a sophisticated portfolio of construction clients, guiding them through customized risk management strategies while driving profitability and operational excellence across the book. You’ll lead all aspects of service delivery, from analyzing risk exposures to negotiating complex coverage with insurers, ensuring your clients receive tailored, high-value solutions.

As a team leader, you’ll foster a collaborative, performance-driven culture that aligns with broader business goals. You’ll mentor and coach a growing team, champion strategic initiatives, and help shape the future of our construction practice. Reporting directly to the Central Region Construction Leader, you’ll have the influence and visibility to drive change and spark growth—both for the business and your career.

Your responsibilities will include: Assessing client risk profiles, coverage needs, and claims history to build tailored insurance strategies Collaborating with carriers and negotiating program terms and pricing for complex construction placements Presenting renewal and proposal packages, and leading high-level client meetings Managing billing, collections, and service execution for your client portfolio Proactively generating new business through referrals and cross-functional collaboration Ensuring accuracy and compliance in documentation, contracts, and binders Acting as the main point of contact and advocate for your clients across internal teams Mentoring junior staff and supporting their professional growth through regular feedback and development planning Participating in strategic planning, performance reviews, and KPI tracking Creating a culture of knowledge sharing, communication, and continuous improvement within your team Driving alignment with internal business units to identify upselling opportunities and deliver seamless service What you bring: 10+ years of experience specializing in construction-focused commercial insurance Proven leadership capabilities with experience mentoring or managing teams Strong understanding of construction risk and tailored insurance solutions Experience managing and renewing mid-to-large, complex accounts Track record of building lasting relationships with senior client stakeholders Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Proficiency with business systems, Microsoft Office, and internal sales tools RIBO and/or CIP license required; CAIB, CRM, or ERM designations a strong asset What sets you apart: A collaborative leadership style with a passion for team building A knack for prioritizing and juggling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Strategic mindset with a client-first approach to everything you do Confidence in leading client meetings, stewardship sessions, and internal reviews Why join us: Competitive salary: $135,000 – $200,000 dependent on experience with bonuses and benefits included Access diverse career paths and continuous learning opportunities Be part of a culture that values innovation, inclusion, and impact Collaborate with industry leaders while making a difference in your community Enjoy a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your growth and well-being If you're an experience insurance professional ready to lead strategy, mentor talent, and make your mark in the construction risk space - this is the opportunity to step into a high-impact role with real influence.
