As a Senior Clerk at Vancouver Coastal Health you will:

Supervise three (3) to ten (10) designated staff and oversee the coordination of clerical workflow for designated area within the department of Medical Imaging.Perform duties include supervising work activities, scheduling and coordinating staff and conducting performance evaluations, reviewing and revising policies and procedures, setting up protocols for methods of operation, coordinates implementation of new work methods and/or systems and troubleshooting Hospital and Radiology Information Systems for assigned area, monitoring expenditures and making recommendations to supervisor regarding budget for designated area as applicable, and performing patient registration and appointment scheduling and other clerical functions as required. Qualifications

Education & Experience

Grade 12, three years' recent, related experience, including one year in a supervisory capacity or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Ability to keyboard at 40 wpm.Ability to supervise.Knowledge of medical terminology.Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.Ability to deal with others effectively.Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.Ability to organize work.Ability to operate related equipment. The hours of work including days off and work area may be subject to change consistent with operational requirements and the provision of the Collective Agreement and applicable statutes. Successful applicants may be required to complete a Criminal Records Review Check.
