Position: Senior Claims and Contracts Specialist

Duration: 12 month contract

Airswift is recruiting on behalf of a leading global energy operator for a major industrial construction project in France.
We are seeking an experienced Claims and Contracts Specialist to support a large-scale refinery transformation project currently in its construction phase. The role involves managing complex EPCM contracts, leading claims and counterclaims, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective contract execution. This is a site-based position with some flexibility for occasional remote work.

Experience & Background 15+ years in contract and claim management within EPC/EPCM environments. Minimum 5 years experience on onshore oil & gas industrial construction projects. Deep understanding of claim and counterclaim processes, especially in the execution and close-out phases. Prior roles as a Senior Contract Engineer, Contract Manager, or Claims Consultant on large-scale industrial projects. Project & Sector Expertise Hands-on experience in industrial construction, especially in refineries or petrochemical plants. Familiarity with site-based project environments; ideally comfortable working onsite with occasional remote work. Experience in transversal coordination among legal, HQ, and project teams.Languages & Communication Fluent in French and English (both are mandatory). Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills. Able to influence and guide cross-functional teams on complex contract and claim matters. Technical & Functional Skills Expert in claim prevention, claim formulation, contract administration, and dispute resolution. Capable of drafting and reviewing contractual correspondence and leading negotiations with contractors. Proficient in contract change management (e.g., amendments, variations, compensation events). Skilled in documentation, SharePoint, and creating status reports/slide decks for executive reviews. #LI-SH3
