Senior Civil Engineering Technician

We’re working with a top-tier consultancy looking to bring a Senior Civil Engineering Technician into their growing Cardiff team.

What you’ll be doing:
Producing and managing 2D and 3D design models using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and ideally InfoDrainagePreparing levels, earthworks, highways, drainage, and SuDS layoutsCreating technical submission packages for S278, S38, S104, S185, and SAB approvalsCoordinating with engineers, contractors, and external stakeholders to resolve site constraints and technical queriesManaging project documentation and common data environmentsMentoring junior technicians and guiding CAD deliveryWhat we’re looking for:
Strong understanding of infrastructure construction and detailingHands-on experience with Civil 3D and AutoCAD (InfoDrainage a bonus)Familiar with the full design process: work stages, deliverables, approvals, and handoversComfortable leading on drawing packages, coordination, and problem-solvingAble to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative, multi-disciplinary teamExperience in highway and drainage design projects, across sectorsWhat’s on offer:
