Senior Civil Engineer - Conveyance
**42302BR** **Requisition ID:** 42302BR **Business Unit:** TSU **Job Description:** CDM Smith is seeking a driven and collaborative Senior Civil Engineer with deep expertise in water and wastewater conveyance systems, including pipelines and pump stations, to join our Dallas team. You will lead impactful local DFW projects while also supporting initiatives in Houston and Austin. What you’ll do: •Lead the design and delivery of moderate to high complexity civil infrastructure projects focusing on pump stations, pipeline design (both gravity and pressure), storage tanks. •Apply advanced knowledge in hydraulics and hydraulic modeling to create and sign off on engineering designs. •Review designs and proposals for compliance with firm policies, industry standards, and federal, state, and local regulations. •Perform site visits, studies, and reviews to ensure alignment with project requirements and location-specific conditions, updating designs as needed. •Contribute to the firm’s technical knowledge through development of white papers, technical documentation, and submissions to technical journals. •Collaborate with sales and business development teams to prepare compelling proposals and respond to client Requests for Proposal (RFPs). •Engage with current and potential clients to understand and address design needs. •Represent the firm at conferences and symposia to enhance visibility and industry presence. •Provide technical guidance, training, and mentorship to junior engineers to foster growth within the discipline and organization. **Job Title:** Senior Civil Engineer - Conveyance **Group:** WSO **Employment Type:** Regular **Minimum Qualifications:** •Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent additional related experience). •Professional Engineer (PE) license. •10 years of relevant civil infrastructure experience with a focus on conveyance systems. •Domestic or International travel may be required. **EEO Statement:** We attract the best people in the industry, supporting their efforts to learn and grow.
