Senior Civil Engineer
Role Overview:
The Senior Civil Engineer will provide technical support to Sales Engineers in the feasibility analysis of complex negotiations, identifying the most suitable solution for custormers’ architectural plans through the preparation of sketches and assembly layouts.
In this role, you will proactively interact with customers’ engineering departments, presenting possible solutions to ensure that equipment is integrated safely and efficiently into the building structure.
You will be responsible for designing the elevator shaft, ensuring it meets technical and regulatory specifications, while also considering how the elevator installation might impact other parts of the building, such as circulation systems, and implementing solutions to minimize any negative impact.
You will report to the Sales Engineering Manager, who will provide you with guidance, training, growth, and development opportunities in our highly resilient and ever-changing business world.
On a typical day, you will:
Review customers’ architectural plans and propose the best technical solution in compliance with current regulations.
Develop installation and assembly layouts using software such as AutoCad, Creo, and Lift Designer.
Prepare technical drawings and other necessary technical and commercial information for equipment installation.
Conduct feasibility studies and projects that meet technical specifications.
Create, manage, and update 3D models using software like Revit and Navisworks.
Evaluate risks in project development.
Interact with Otis factories to define assembly layouts according to client needs.
Interact with and support the sales team, including attending client meetings when necessary.
Provide technical support to the construction supervision team.
What You Need to Succeed:
Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related fields.
Strong experience in preparing drawings using AutoCad.
Proficiency in 2D (AutoCad/E3) and 3D (PTC Creo or ProE, Catia, UniGraphics, Revit, Navisworks) technical drawing software.
Knowledge of simulation software (PtC Simulate/ANSYS).
Proficiency in Excel and a deep understanding of products and technical applications.
Fluency in English
Knowledge in project modeling and coordination using BIM.
