HDR is seeking a Senior Construction Inspector to work as a member of our Florida CEI (Construction Engineering and Inspection) program at a project site in either Hernando or Polk county. This is a great opportunity for candidates looking to advance their career in inspection with upward mobility and long-term employment with a fast-growing program and employee-owned company

In the role of Senior Civil Construction Inspector, we'll count on you to: Conduct and document observations of construction as it progresses for civil projects related to civil infrastructure, such as roads, bridges, water/wastewater facilities, pump stations and pipelinesMentor junior field staff and provide supervision as neededCollaborate with other field representatives or Project ManagersRead and interpret construction drawings and specifications, and identify discrepancies or conflicts within the documentsConduct and document observations of construction as it progressesServe as the most senior inspector on projects as neededPerform other duties as neededPreferred QualificationsTechnical school or Associate degreeRelevant Industry Certifications or FDOT certificationsPrevious roadway construction experienceAbility to interpret construction schedulesRequired QualificationsRequires high school diploma or equivalent. (Candidates with 8 years of relevant construction inspection experience may substitute experience for a high school diploma) A minimum of 5 years experience Proficient with MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook) Strong written communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a teamAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a mustHDR's Drug and Alcohol Policy supports our commitment to employee safety and exceeding client requirements.
