Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Surgical Tech, you will help prepare the operating room and surgical team so they can successfully perform a variety of surgical procedures for patients.
Every day you will set up surgical equipment and instruments, assist the surgical team, and ensure a sterile environment. You will be expected to adapt quickly, collaborate effectively within the OR team, and contribute directly to the patient's healing process.
To be successful in this role, you must possess adaptability, a strong team-player mindset, and enthusiasm for supporting complex surgical procedures.
This position is represented by SEIU-UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement
Job Requirements
Required
High School Graduate or GEDSuccessful completion of an accredited/approved Surgical Technician programrMinimum 5 years of operating room experience in an acute care setting, with at least three (3) years in an area of specialtyMust be able to scrub Neuro, Vascular, Ortho, and Spine cases andCertified Surgical Technologist or Technologist in Surgery-CertifiedAHA Basic Life Support - CPRFire Safety card within 90 days of hire.
