HDR is seeking a Senior CEI Project Engineer for our Transportation Construction Engineering Inspection (CEI) program in Jacksonville, FL to direct highly complex and specialized construction engineering administration and inspection programs, plan and organize the work of subordinate and staff members, develop and/or review policies, methods, practices, and procedures, and review programs for conformance with department standards.

Primary Responsibilities

Responsibility for the overall management and successful delivery of multi-million dollar projectsActing as the primary liaison with contractor(s) on behalf of the client/owner, as part of a CEI team representing the ownerLeading a project team consisting of project controllers and inspectors responsible for contract administration and construction materials testingManaging day-to-day activities such as progress meetings, submittal and RFI reviews, contractor pay applications, quality assurance testing and inspection, schedule reviews, and progress reportingCoordinating with designers to resolve technical/engineering issuesPerform other duties as needed


Preferred Qualifications
FDOT Advanced MOTRoad and/or bridge construction experienceCTQP Quality Control experience3 years of construction/transportation project leadershipMS in Civil Engineering or related disciplineRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or closely related field 10 years related experience in various aspects of construction including estimating, bidding, preparing purchase orders and subcontracts, scheduling, and field engineering Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered. Example: Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license. Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); Bluebeam, estimating scheduling software, and web-based document collaboration software Experience developing and managing construction engineering and inspection programs Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
