**Job Description**

Join Danfoss Power Solutions’ Global Procurement & Supply Chain organization in the Controls Division and help shape our supplier strategies for the future. This is a position where strong performance is noticed — previous role holders have advanced into senior leadership positions within a few years.
In this role, you will be part of a dedicated and highly competent global team. Together, we ensure effective management of our global suppliers so they deliver and improve on all parameters.
**Please note:** This position requires regular onsite presence — at least three days per week — at our Nordborg office.
**Job Responsibilities**
+ **Lead the way** in developing forward-looking, high-impact category strategies that shape the future of our global supply base, aligned with both European market needs and global business priorities.
+ **Take the driver’s seat** in executive-level supplier negotiations and partnerships, delivering long-term value, innovation, and resilience in our supply chain.
+ **Redesign and optimize** our European supplier network, spearheading capability building in emerging markets to position Danfoss ahead of the curve.
+ **Influence from the start** by engaging early in product development, design-to-cost programs, and technology roadmaps to create sustainable competitive advantage.
+ **Be the voice of Procurement** in global leadership forums, steering cross-functional decisions that directly impact business performance.
+ Champion supplier compliance in quality, ESG, and contractual standards while driving continuous improvement.
+ **Shape the future of the function** by mentoring colleagues, sharing expertise, and contributing to capability building across the Procurement organization.
**Background & Skills**
+ A university degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; an advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., CIPS, Six Sigma) are strong advantages.
+ 7–10+ years’ experience in strategic sourcing, procurement leadership, or category management in a **global manufacturing setting** , with a track record of delivering measurable results.
+ Strong technical understanding of metal manufacturing and custom-engineered components, paired with the ability to translate technical insight into strategic advantage.
+ Proven success in **complex, high-stakes negotiations** and building long-term executive-level supplier relationships.
+ Demonstrated ability to drive cost-out, innovation, and supplier performance while balancing quality, sustainability, and risk management.
+ Skilled at navigating matrix organizations and influencing across all levels, from engineers to C-suite.
+ Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus.
+ Willingness to travel ~20% within Europe to strengthen strategic relationships and expand your professional network.
