As a Senior Category Manager SEE, your role is to set the category’s strategic direction across various markets. You will make sure the global vision becomes relevant, and balanced locally. You will work at the intersection of strategy, brand building, category development, market expertise, and cross‑functional orchestration.

 

Yours day to day:

Category Strategy & Market Shaping

Lead the definition and implementation of the category’s strategic vision for the SEE cluster, including portfolio and pricing strategies, as well as 18‑month development plans.Translate global and regional guidelines into a clear cluster roadmap of initiatives that accelerate growth and strengthen the category’s position.Identify growth opportunities: new segments, consumer needs, market gaps, and opportunities for local adaptations.

Brand & Consumer Experience Leadership

Create strong, emotionally relevant brand and category narratives fully aligned with global platforms.Lead communication and activation platforms at the cluster level—from content and campaigns to community engagement and omnichannel experience.Ensure consistent execution across all touchpoints through collaboration with digital, trade, brand engagement, and retail teams.

Cluster Market Support

Develop a deep understanding of each market’s business dynamics, consumer journey, competitive landscape, and regulatory context.Co‑create category plans with local teams, balancing the cluster framework with local specificities.Represent the SEE cluster in regional and global functions, ensuring that local priorities are reflected in global decisions.

Cross‑Functional Leadership & Stakeholder Influence

Align commercial, financial, operational, and legal functions to ensure high‑quality and fully compliant execution of category strategies.Build positive relationships between markets and across cross‑functional teams within the cluster and broader region.Inspire and influence decision‑makers to support initiatives that move the category forward.

People Leadership

Lead and develop the team through clear communication, active feedback, mentorship, and fostering a safe and inclusive environment.Shape a culture where innovation, accountability, and open dialogue are expected and encouraged.

Agency & External Partner Management

Manage external agencies, including creative, PR, event, and deployment partners.Ensure all initiatives are executed with high quality, on time, and in accordance with brand and category standards.

Consumer Insights & Decision‑Making Excellence

Orchestrate the collection and interpretation of insights, trend analysis, and reporting within the category.Transform complex data into clear recommendations, strong business decisions, and timely pivots.

 

Who we’re looking for

We are seeking a strategic, analytical, and influential leader with experience leading categories, brand strategies, or commercial functions in complex, multi‑market environments.

Ideally, you have:

A minimum of 6+ years of professional experience in commercial functions, including team leadership and accountability for strategy and results.A degree in business, marketing, economics, or a related field (MBA is an advantage).Proven capabilities in category/brand strategy, portfolio management, narrative development, and leading complex initiatives.A strong analytical mindset and the ability to translate insights into action.Experience working with multiple functions and markets; strong influence and ease in stakeholder management.Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.Fluency in English and Serbian.A valid driver’s license.
