Senior Category Manager
Job Description DFS is seeking a Senior Category Manager to lead strategic sourcing and supplier management for electronics and EV charger technologies. This role is critical to ensuring cost-competitive continuity of supply and supporting new product development. The ideal candidate will have a strong electromechanical background and experience with contract manufacturers, electrical assembly, and supply chain strategy. Skills and Requirements Key Responsibilities: - Develop and manage supplier contracts and performance (quality, delivery, cost) - Lead commodity strategies leveraging DFS and Dover volumes - Identify and mitigate supply chain risks - Monitor market trends and supplier shifts - Drive cost-out initiatives and continuous improvement with suppliers - Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and finance - Support sourcing design changes and optimize shipping arrangements - Expand diverse supplier spend and manage ERP setup Required Qualifications: - 7+ years in strategic sourcing or supply chain management - 5+ years managing PCB or electronic component commodities - **Experience with Electronic Supply Chain products and suppliers** - Strong negotiation and supplier development skills - **Familiarity with JIT programs and supplier performance metrics** - Ability to travel up to 25% (domestic and international) - Excellent communication and influencing skills - Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) Preferred Qualifications: - Familiarity with ASHRAE standards and energy codes - Leadership or mentoring experience - Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking - Clear experience managing supplier relationships and resolving performance issues Notes: - NO BUYERS OR PLANNERS - Electromechanical background - Exposure to the technical, tactical, and strategic side of supply chain null We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
