Senior Category Manager – Wind Projects (6-Month Contract) The Category Manager – Wind Projects is responsible for supporting short-term, high-impact projects within the renewable energy sector, with a specific focus on wind energy. This role will lead contract development, vendor negotiations, and manage procurement activities that are closely tied to regulatory and tax-driven project deadlines. A strong understanding of compliance requirements and the ability to manage fast-paced, cross-functional initiatives is essential. Key Responsibilities: + Manage procurement activities for wind energy projects, with a focus on tax-incentive and regulatory compliance. + Develop, negotiate, and manage supplier contracts ensuring alignment with project timelines and regulatory requirements. + Partner with legal, tax, and regulatory teams to ensure procurement strategies comply with applicable laws and incentives (e.g., PTC/ITC). + Support rapid-turnaround projects driven by policy changes or regulatory deadlines. + Collaborate with engineering, project development, and construction teams to ensure timely material and service delivery. + Analyze supplier proposals and make data-driven sourcing recommendations. + Track and report on project progress, risks, and savings opportunities to leadership. + Ensure alignment with internal procurement policies and sustainability goals. Required Qualifications: + 10 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or category management—preferably in the energy or construction sector. + Utility or energy industry background + Experience with wind contracts and regulatory knowledge + Strong understanding of contract development and negotiation. + Excellent organizational skills and ability to thrive in fast-paced environments. + Strong communication skills and stakeholder management experience. + Proficiency in procurement systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Preferred Qualifications: + Experience in the renewable energy industry, particularly wind energy. + Knowledge of U.S. energy tax credits, state/local permitting, or regulatory filing processes. + Background in strategic sourcing or supply chain management for large capital projects. Pay Range: $100.00/hr. - $103.00/hr.
