Senior Category Lead - CapEx

Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. **What You'll Be Doing** + Lead contract development, negotiation, and management for CapEx procurement. + Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and ethical standards. + Drive supplier performance improvements in quality, delivery, and service. + Identify and implement process improvements in sourcing and contract management. + Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align procurement with operational needs. + Apply competitive bidding practices and support strategic sourcing initiatives. + Provide expert procurement guidance, training, and support across the organization. **What Are We Looking For** + Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.  + Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, with at least 3 years in CAPEX project procurement in industrial or infrastructure sectors.  + Experience in EPC project execution, financial structuring, or engineering.  + Exposure to global sourcing and supplier development in Low-Cost Countries.  + Deep understanding of FIDIC contracts, EPC frameworks, and risk allocation.  + Proficiency in procurement systems and project planning tools.  + Additional qualifications in strategic sourcing, contract law, or project management are a plus **Work Environment** This role operates in a hybrid work environment with a combination of remote work and travel to project sites, supplier locations, and company offices as needed.
