Primary Duties

Computes, classifies, and records numerical data to keep records complete. Performs any combination of routine calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain necessary data for use in maintaining accounting records.

Responsibilities

Matching Cash Settlements to GL and bank record details (Credit Card Clearing) 

Matching Cash Settlements to GL and bank record details (E-commerce Sales Clearing)

Performing Reconciliations of Credit Card and E-commerce Clearing accounts

Creating and posting journal entries necessary to maintain Clearing Accounts

Utilizes various accounting software to record, store, and analyze information. Debits, credits, and totals accounts on spreadsheets and databases, using specialized accounting software

Compiles statistical, financial, accounting or auditing reports and tables pertaining to daily settlements

Accesses financial information to answer general questions as well as those related to specific accounts.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

1-3 years’ experience in accounting or related fieldIntermediate experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office applicationsExperience in Oracle Experience with reviewing and verifying information from multiple sources Experience in preparing and processing journal entriesBachelor's in accounting or finance preferredAbility to prioritize and complete multiple tasks with accuracyAbility to maintain confidentiality  Attention to detail Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skillsAbility to interface with various levels of management, along with excellent communication skills.

Working Conditions /Physical Requirements

The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, retail stores, and residences or commercial vehicles, e.g., use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire regulations and traffic signals, etc. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated.The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items such as papers, files, books, small parts; using a keyboard, driving an automobile, etc. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
