Senior Cash Application Specialist
**What you will do** As the Senior Cash Application Specialist you will expertly manage and reconcile customer payments, collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies, and lead initiatives to streamline cash application processes while providing training and support to junior members. You'll also play a key role in audits, system upgrades, and reporting on key performance indicators. + Accurately apply payments received via lockbox, wire, ACH, and other sources to customer accounts in ERP systems. + Research and resolve unapplied cash and payment discrepancies in a timely manner. + Collaborate with internal teams (Billing, Collections, Credit, Sales Ops) to address remittance issues and customer inquiries. + Lead monthly reconciliation of customer accounts and AR clearing accounts. + Develop and maintain documentation for cash application procedures. + Provide training, guidance, and support to junior team members. + Identify opportunities to automate or streamline the cash application process. + Assist with audits and month-end close activities related to cash receipts. + Participate in system upgrades or integration projects involving AR processes. + Report on KPIs such as unapplied cash, aging items, and processing accuracy. **What you need** Required Qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience). + 2+ years of experience in cash application, accounts receivable, or related finance roles. + Experience with large ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.) and banking portals. Preferred Qualifications: + Prior experience in a high-volume, shared services or multi-entity environment. + Experience with lockbox, remittance OCR tools, or AI cash application solutions. + Familiarity with GAAP and SOX controls related to AR/cash. $69,100 - $139,600 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
