Position Description

The Kibali Gold Mine Team is seeking to recruit three SENIOR BUYERS to join and grow our team.

Responsibilities:

Sourcing of specified goods and services. Obtain quotes for goods and services as required. Prepare comprehensive price adjudications for goods and services. Ensure purchasing policy and procedures are adhered to. Ensure sourcing, obtaining quotes and adjudication is processed within the stipulated time frame. Clarifying purchasing requests with originators, if necessary, to ensure requirements are adequately described and the correct specifications are obtained. Ensuring all purchases are in accordance with all HSE standards. Administration of the purchasing system. Engage in and maintain sound relationships with Suppliers and Customers. Identification and implementation of business opportunities. Abide by sound ethical standards in day-to-day activities and report any deviations to supervisor. Obtain savings through supplier negotiations. Expedite deliveries of Purchase orders to support production and meet project timelines. Monitor contractor performance and resolving any deviations to the execution plan as per terms and conditions. Perform any tasks that may be assigned by the supervisor.  Work in compliance with ISO 14001 and 45001 Standards

Qualifications, Experience and Skills Requirements:

Grade 12 Certificate (Diplome d’Etat) Degree in Economy / Finance / Engineering / Supply management or any equivalent. Minimum of 4 years’ experience in the Supply Chain domain, preferably in a Mining Environment. Have an in-depth knowledge of and understanding of international procurement processes. Experience in the use of SAP or other ERP systems. Demonstrated product knowledge at both local and international market. Understanding of the relationship between purchasing, warehouse and inventory management. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
