We are currently seeking a Senior Buyer who will be responsible for the Value Stream, including preparing and processing requisitions and placing purchase orders for the procurement of commodities and supplies necessary for the manufacturing of our products. This role is responsible for alignment with the Production Planner to ensure materials are readily available to support the production plan.

This position reports to the Senior Manager, Materials & Planning, and is part of the Supply Chain team located in Indianapolis, and is an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Place new POs and follow up on existing POsWork to negotiate favorable pricing with vendors/suppliersEstablish contract terms with suppliers and drive ongoing supplier optimization to ensure that organizational metrics are achieved.Identify and facilitate continuous improvement activitiesCollaborate with and support production planning and Value Stream to ensure timely delivery to our customers

The essential requirements of the job are:

Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3+ years of experience in a tactical or strategic procurement role, directly supporting manufacturing/project management.Strong organizational, communication, and detailed operational process skills to keep all parties informed of attainment or missing metric targets.Experience driving results in managing the supply base, including negotiating, supplier OTD, and forecasting.Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, high volume of suppliers (100+) and parts (average of 700 active parts), and escalating issues as needed.Proficient with ERP, Excel, and agile in learning new software.

It would be a plus if you possess experience in the following areas:

APICS CPIM, CSCP, or CPM CertificationExperience in manufacturing, buying/planning for instrument/accessory products

The salary range for this role is $ 90,000-$ 100,000 annually. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future. This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
