As a European Economic Area (EEA) national, aged between 18 to 28, Business France’s V.I.E programme is your chance to embrace an international experience in a leading scientific network.
You will join the team as a Senior Buyer and help oversee procurement decisions for Clinical Diagnostics solutions across the Eurofins network. This role offers hands-on learning and the potential for long-term career growth in a fast-paced, international environment.
The 12-month contract includes a monthly allowance and Business France helps with administrative support for a smooth transition abroad. POSITION & OBJECTIVES:
As a Senior Buyer for Clinical Diagnostics products, you will lead procurement projects across Europe and help deliver best-in-class diagnostic solutions to our laboratories. Your main focus will be to analyse diagnostic needs and propose solutions, ensuring their quality, cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
In addition, you will:
Define and manage Clinical Diagnostics purchasing categories, leading end-to-end sourcing projects for each solution.
Lead strategic tender processes, managing contract renewals and supplier selection decisions for European-wide agreements in close collaboration with key stakeholders.
Develop and propose suitable diagnostic instruments for laboratories across Europe, ensuring alignment between technical requirements, operational efficiency and financial performance.
Maintain close daily contact with laboratories, laboratory technicians and clinical stakeholders, providing technical and commercial guidance to ensure the most effective testing solutions are implemented.
Collaborate closely with suppliers, including established international diagnostic partners, to understand technical specifications, automation capabilities and innovation opportunities. Manage key supplier relationships across Europe.
Drive cross-country alignment, to review project progress and ensure successful implementation.
Analyse data and build business cases, using Excel and data extracts (e.g., from Power BI reports) to model pricing scenarios, compare cost structures, evaluate cost-per-result metrics and support negotiations with suppliers and discussions with management.
Take full ownership of projects, from opportunity identification and tender execution to implementation, invoice follow-up and performance monitoring – with clear visibility of the business impact.

QualificationsEducation: Master’s degree in business, engineering, economics, data science, or a related field.
Technical skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and Adobe Suite.
Interpersonal skills: Strong problem-solving and attention-to-detail skills, with a mindset for continuous process improvement. Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Languages: Fluent in English, written and spoken.
