Job Title: Senior Buyer Job Description We are seeking a results-driven Senior Buyer to lead the procurement of metal fabrication components and electronic assemblies in support of our custom welding positioners, robotic weld cells, and automation systems. The role is pivotal in sourcing, negotiating, and managing suppliers to ensure on-time delivery, cost control, quality performance, and supply continuity in alignment with our Factory of the Future strategy. Responsibilities + Source, negotiate, and manage suppliers of structural steel, plate, tubing, and machined components. + Handle procurement of precision fabricated weldments and machined assemblies. + Manage sourcing of motors, drives, gearboxes, and power transmission components. + Oversee procurement of PLCs, HMIs, sensors, cabling, and electrical panels. + Ensure on-time delivery, cost control, quality performance, and supply continuity. + Align procurement activities with the Factory of the Future strategy. Essential Skills + Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field. + 5–10+ years of purchasing experience in manufacturing or capital equipment. + Strong knowledge of metal fabrication processes such as laser cutting, machining, welding, and forming. + Industrial electronics and automation components expertise. + Demonstrated negotiation and supplier management experience. + Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and BOMs. + ERP experience with systems like M1, NetSuite, or similar.
