About the role…

We have an exciting opportunity for a talented Buyer to join our passionate and creative Friends like These Team. We are looking for someone to continue driving the growth of the department by utilising your expert knowledge and strong eye for trends to deliver a profitable and commercial range. If you’re innovative, driven and thrive in a fast-paced environment, this is the role for you.

This role will be working on a 12 month fixed term contract and we’re happy to consider full time or part time hours for the right candidate.

You will be…

Continuously reviewing the Friends like These customer profile to develop the product accordingly, demonstrating brand and customer awarenessPlanning the range according to future trends that take into account range construction and pricing architecture, seasonal variationsWorking collaboratively with Merchandising and Design to build a customer focused, commercial and inspirational rangeLeading the department from a trend perspective to influence and educate Senior Management on key trends/items for LipsyReviewing the range frequently with Merchandising to ensure product selection is commercial and reacting to salesResults orientated with the ability to realise further growth for the departmentRequired to occasionally travel across UK and Overseas to visit suppliers and attend trade fairs sourcing new yarns and shapes to build new and innovative ranges

Currently working at an Established - Senior Buyer level for a womenswear brand Have proven success at buying for your own areaProven experience managing and developing a teamExcellent communication skills and supplier management Demonstrates passion and energy to be inspiring to others and deliver improved resultsSelf-motivated and engages those around usProactive, vibrant and spirited and rises to challengesRemains profit focused at all timesBuilds and maintains strong collaborative relationships Highly organised with the ability to plan ahead and have a flexible approach and be reactive when necessary
