WHO YOU’LL WORK WITHThis role sits within the North America Kids Direct Stores merchandising team—a dynamic, deeply collaborative group focused on creating consumer-first assortments that elevate the Kid Athlete. The Senior Buyer Merchant reports to the Global Merchandising Manager of Kids Direct and partners across Product, Geography Merchants, Nike Digital, Planning, Allocation, Retail Brand, and Visual Merchandising.

Required QualificationsOpen to work at PHK (Nike World Headquarters) in Portland, Oregon Metro Area5+ years of experience in Retail, Merchandising, Product Management, Marketplace, Buying, or related fieldsBachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising, Marketing, or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and trainingDemonstrated understanding of consumer and marketplace dynamicsProficiency in analyzing business and consumer trends; strong verbal and written communication skills

Core ResponsibilitiesCollaborate closely with Product, Geography Merchants, Nike Digital, Planning, Allocation, Retail Brand, and Visual Merchandising to create holistic, consumer-right assortmentsCurate assortments built on Classic, Modern, and Future ecosystems to amplify brand distinctionDeclare and prioritize key franchises, ensuring flow strategies that keep the marketplace fresh and aligned to supply chain needsBuild and maintain a comprehensive 3–5 year product lifecycle roadmapIntegrate head-to-toe Apparel stories into Footwear journeys to maximize consumer impactPartner with Global and Geo Sport teams to identify, nurture, and drive brand- and business-critical franchisesLead with a consumer-first mindset, ensuring every product moment connects with purpose and clarity
