The Senior Business Systems Analyst, Information Governance Technology will join Abbott’s Information Governance and Records (“IGR”) group and support data protection and data management initiatives while working to enhance IG maturity across the enterprise. The position reports to Senior Counsel, Information Governance, and interacts with data management stakeholders within Legal and Business & Technology Services (BTS), as well as with other business groups.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES** :
+ Supports strategic programs and projects, including coordinating Legal activities relating to the implementation of M365 sensitivity labels across the enterprise and auto-deletion of stale unstructured data.
+ Supports review and remediation of legacy data and implementation of defensible deletion and records management processes.
+ Develops requirements, investigates vendors, and implements projects to identify, test, and introduce IG technology solutions.
+ Works closely with Abbott IT to improve business-facing IT processes relating to data management and remediation.
+ Provides functional expertise for Information Governance and Records systems, including establishing and maintaining system-specific documentation and operational procedures and helping manage Abbott’s Records and Information Management System (RIMS).
+ Provides support with the Information Governance and Records team’s ticketing system, ensuring queries are resolved/escalated in a timely manner.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
+ BA/BS in Information Systems or Business Administration or BA/BS in another discipline with equivalent experience.
+ 7 years of experience in systems analyst or project management roles including enterprise systems and system lifecycles, databases (including experience with SQL programming languages), web and client server architecture, infrastructure, networks, and other technical domains.
+ 3 years of experience working in an IT organization within a regulated industry and/or compliance role, ideally including experience as an auditor.
+ Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft O365 (e.g., Excel, SharePoint, macros).
+ Strong attention to detail and documentation.
+ Ability to quickly assimilate knowledge of processes, frameworks, and technologies.
+ Working knowledge of Quality System validation requirements for technology projects preferred.
+ Strong time management, organizational and priority setting skills.
+ Ability to adapt readily to change in routine and to work across multiple areas.
+ Ability to work effectively within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced changing environment.
+ Strong interpersonal written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate clearly and concisely across organization levels and build effective working relationships.
The base pay for this position is $85,300.00 – $170,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
