Investments and Wealth Solutions

Hang Seng's Investments and Wealth Solutions offers a full spectrum of wealth products and services to our Wealth and Personal Banking customers, from high-net-worth to mass segments across channels to capture opportunity under different market scenarios. We play a distributor role to source investment and insurance products from service providers, manage the product due diligence and onboarding, as well as client journey design and implementation. We distribute investment funds managed by top tier fund managers covering different types of funds, across regions and asset classes. A wide range of structured products with underlying linked to equities, FX rates, interest rates, investment funds, etc. are offered for investors to pursue different investment objectives. We also offer fixed income instruments and certificates of deposit to customers who look for regular coupon payment. Besides, we have securities services covering exchange traded equities in local and overseas markets offered through a wide variety of trading channels. Margin trading services covering FX and securities, and investment financing service provides extra liquidity and purchasing power to cater for investment needs from sophisticated investors.

Principle responsibilities

Provide governance and oversight of the end-to-end sales journey and suitability framework for investment products across Retail Wealth and Private Banking, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.Design and enhance sales and conduct monitoring frameworks in collaboration with Product, Risk, and Compliance teams, tailored for different investment products and client segments.Lead the coordination of the Sales Conduct Working Group for investment products, including case investigations, issue remediation, and root cause analysis.Monitor high-risk investment activities and abnormal transaction patterns. Perform data analysis to identify potential sales conduct issues and emerging risks.Conduct gap analysis and apply read across assessments to evaluate compliance with HKMA/SFC regulations and HSBC internal policies. Maintain proactive awareness of relevant regulatory developments and policy changes. Support Investments and Wealth Solutions (IWS) business by providing business management and process governance, ensuring the effective execution of strategic initiatives and business activities.
