**Position Overview**
The Business Development Representative (BDR) is an integral part of Autodesk's _sales_ team, tasked with driving the initial stages of the sales funnel. This hunting-focused position engages prospective customers through outbound prospecting across multiple channels (leveraging a call-first mentality) engaging new leads, educating prospects, scheduling meetings for Sales Representatives, and qualifying net new opportunities. The BDR delivers a robust pipeline, supporting Autodesk’s growth by transforming prospects into opportunities through proactive outreach and strategic communication.
**Location -** This position is hybrid with some work from home opportunities. The preferred location for this position is Denver, Colorado.
**Responsibilities**
+ Drive New Engagement through Outbound Prospecting: identify new leads and contacts, and execute outbound outreach across multiple channels (phone, email, and LinkedIn) to drive quality net new engagements (customer meetings)
+ Qualify Opportunities: Assess the needs and pain points of prospects to gauge their level of interest and need for Autodesk solutions. Use this information to uncover and qualify new business opportunities that can be passed to Sales Representatives
+ Educate Prospects: Provide clear and concise details on Autodesk’s product features and value proposition, guiding prospects through the initialsalesprocess and preparing them for further engagement
+ Build and Maintain Pipeline: Proactively develop and sustain a pipeline of leads and opportunities, ensuring consistent follow-up and nurturing practices to maintain engagement and interest
+ Achieve Outreach Targets: Consistently meet or exceed outreach goals, including the number of calls, emails, meetings booked, and opportunities created contributing to the team’ssalesobjectives
+ Record Keeping: Maintain comprehensive and accurate notes and records of all prospect interactions in the CRM to ensure data integrity, proper tracking of leads, and facilitates informed strategic decisions
+ Team Collaboration: Participate actively in team meetings, offer insights, and collaborate with colleagues to refine and enhance outboundsalesstrategies
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ 3+ years of experience in a prospecting-focused business development or _sales_ role, ideally in IT/SaaS
+ Demonstrated ability to exceed activity-based KPIs and sales goals
+ Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) is a plus
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
+ Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a fast-paced environment
+ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
+ A positive, solution-oriented mindset
+ As a skilled specialist, completes tasks in resourceful and effective ways
+ Works on assignments requiring considerable judgment and initiative
+ Understands implications of work and makes recommendations for solutions
+ Determines methods and procedures on new assignments. May be informal team leader

**Salary transparency**
Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based sales roles, we expect a starting On-Target Earnings (OTE) between $79,800 and $115,390. OTE is comprised of base salary plus commission target for sales roles. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
