Job Description
This Senior Business Development Manager role focuses on driving strategic growth in the Seattle market for commercial interiors, workplace solutions, and enterprise furniture projects. The position suits a high-performing sales executive and proven hunter who excels at opening doors, building influential relationships, and winning complex, multi-stakeholder deals. You will lead the full sales cycle, from prospecting to close, while collaborating closely with internal design, account management, and leadership teams to deliver exceptional client experiences.
ResponsibilitiesBuild and manage a strong pipeline of new business opportunities across Seattle and the greater Pacific Northwest.Proactively identify, qualify, and convert strategic accounts within the commercial interiors, workplace, and enterprise furniture sectors.Develop and deepen relationships with end users, A&D firms, brokers, project managers, and other key influencers in the commercial real estate and workplace ecosystem.Lead pursuits from initial prospecting and lead generation through proposal development, negotiation, and deal close.Collaborate closely with internal design teams to align furniture layouts and workplace solutions with client needs and project requirements.Partner with account management and leadership teams to ensure a seamless handoff from sales to delivery and to support long-term client satisfaction and retention.Leverage market intelligence and competitive insights to inform go-to-market strategies and refine sales approaches.Act as a strategic advisor to clients, helping them navigate complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles and make informed decisions about commercial interiors and furniture solutions.Use tools such as Salesforce, Smartsheet, Microsoft Office, and ProjectSpec5 to manage opportunities, track activities, and maintain accurate sales reporting.Engage in regular outreach activities, including cold calling and outside sales visits, to generate new leads and expand the client base.Demonstrate strong customer service orientation throughout the sales process, ensuring an exceptional client experience at every touchpoint.Maintain a high level of accountability and performance, operating effectively with significant autonomy in the field.Essential SkillsProven success in business development, enterprise sales, or commercial interiors/furniture sales.Demonstrated ability to build and manage a robust pipeline of new business opportunities.Experience developing and managing relationships with end users, A&D firms, brokers, project managers, and other key influencers.Existing relationships within Seattle’s commercial real estate, architecture and design, corporate, or workplace ecosystem.Strong account management and sales management capabilities, including full-cycle sales experience from prospecting through close.Proficiency in cold calling and outside sales, with a hunter mindset focused on opening new doors and creating opportunities.Comfort operating with autonomy in a performance-driven environment, with high personal accountability.Strong executive presence and the ability to engage credibly with Senior-level and Fortune 1000 stakeholders.Strategic thinking skills, with the ability to navigate complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles.Customer service–oriented approach, focused on delivering exceptional client experiences.Proficiency with Salesforce for managing leads, opportunities, and sales activities.Proficiency with Microsoft Office for presentations, proposals, and reporting.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience selling into Fortune 1000 companies, brokers, developers, and corporate clients.Familiarity with commercial interiors, workplace strategy, and enterprise furniture solutions.Experience working with furniture layouts and furniture design concepts in collaboration with design teams.Proficiency with Smartsheet for project tracking and coordination.Experience using ProjectSpec5 or similar tools related to furniture specification and planning.Background in lead generation within commercial real estate, workplace, or related industries.Ability to bring market intelligence and competitive insights to inform business and sales strategies.Self-starter mindset with strong initiative and the ability to thrive in a field-based, road warrior sales role.Work Environment
This role operates primarily as a field-based, road warrior sales position focused on the Seattle market and the greater Pacific Northwest. You will spend significant time meeting with clients and partners on-site, supported by a remote work setup. The main office is located in downtown Seattle on a high floor with expansive city views, offering a professional and inspiring setting when you are on-site. While the role is remote day-to-day, you will be asked to attend occasional all-hands meetings and key in-office sessions, especially when team members are in town, to collaborate with colleagues and leadership. Sales compensation is structured as commission against a draw, and a car allowance is provided to support frequent travel. You will use tools such as Salesforce, Smartsheet, Microsoft Office, and ProjectSpec5 as part of your daily workflow in a performance-driven, collaborative environment that emphasizes autonomy, accountability, and exceptional client service.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $140000.00/yr.
Free parking pass if going onsite\n$250 car allowance since driving to client sites
