Senior Business Analyst - Hogan Deposits

Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Business Analyst with deep expertise in Hogan Deposits to support ongoing business analysis, configuration, and testing activities within our core banking systems. This role is central to ensuring Hogan applications are optimized to meet business needs, regulatory requirements, and operational efficiency. While conversion experience is a plus, the primary focus is on day-to-day Hogan business analysis and system support.

Primary Responsibilities:

Serve as a lead Business Analyst for Hogan Deposits, supporting system enhancements, maintenance, and configuration.

In depth knowledge of and ability to configure Hogan PCDs to ensure functionality of the system and to meet business requirements

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document functional requirements for Hogan-related initiatives.

Prepare and manage functional specifications, test plans, and scripts for Hogan enhancements and BAU (business-as-usual) changes.

Act as a subject matter expert on Hogan Deposits, advising on system capabilities, limitations, and best practices.

Partner with developers, technicians, and configuration specialists to ensure accurate implementation of changes.

Participate in design discussions and ensure functional specifications align with business goals.

Support testing activities including script execution, defect tracking, and issue resolution.

Mentor junior analysts and contribute to knowledge sharing across the team.

Ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

Provide post-implementation support and feedback analysis to ensure system performance meets expectations.

Education and Experience Required:

Combined minimum of 8  years' combined higher education and/or operational/business analytics/systems development experience

Experience with Hogan Deposits or similar systems

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Excellent organizational skills

Excellent time management skills

Excellent lateral thinking skills

Excellent problem-solving skills

Prior experience multitasking for various components of complex projects.

Prior experience coordinating between applications and business units.

Prior experience working in a team environment as well as autonomously.

Education and Experience Preferred:

Bachelor's degree

Experienced in complex banking system conversions

M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $97,869.52 - $163,115.87 Annual (USD). The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
