JOB TITLE: Sr. Business Analyst LOCATION: Irving, TX DUTIES: Identify insights, customer behavior patterns, trends in the marketplace, and competitive analysis to help develop data driven decisions. Serve as the primary data analyst to support growing delivery business needs. Support the business needs in terms of timely reporting and recommendations for process improvements. Evaluate the effectiveness of business initiatives that are deployed against the established targets. Work with a cross functional team to set processes and data captures in place so that the growing business needs are met, and to improve the analytical process. Develop insights tied to customer purchase and usage behavior, and work with customer product teams to help them understand customer behavior patterns, such as time spent in the applications, how they navigate the applications, and frequency of purchase. Based on these assessments, make recommendations to drive more applications usage and drive higher sales per order. Assess the performance of the company’s products on other partner platforms, assess how the partner platforms are performing, and incorporate the lessons learned from one platform to another. Understand competitor pricing on partner platforms and determine how 7-Eleven compares to its competition. Provide recommendations based on the assessment that would result in a new approach or price revision while ensuring minimal impact to profitability. Provide reporting support for operational needs. Develop a promotion performance monitoring report to effectively guide the business on the value of promotion, lessons learned from execution, and recommendations on future iterations. Monitor key business economic indicators to ensure business is operating within the specified guardrails. Generate daily, weekly, and monthly business reports to provide Franchisees and internal business customers with a view of business performance. Drive cross functional team interaction to ensure all necessary data elements are captured as new initiatives are deployed. Keep abreast with analytical tools for improved analysis and reporting, such as Python, Power BI, SQL, Alteryx, JavaScript, and HTML. Use data visualization tools including Tableau and Power BI, programming languages including Python and R. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering Management, Computer Science, or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or as a data scientist, business intelligence analyst, or in a related/similar position. Experience therein to include 5 years of experience in each of the following: providing insight into customer behavior, trends, financials and business operations through data analysis and the development of business intelligence visuals; working with advanced business intelligence tools such as complex calculations, table calculations, geographic mapping, data blending and optimization of data extracts; and using algorithms, linear and non-linear predictive models and optimization techniques. In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience, employer will accept a Master’s or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering, Engineering Management, Computer Science, or a related field and 2 years of experience in the skillsets stated above. Experience therein to include 1 year of experience in SQL, Tableau, Python, R, Oracle, and HTML.
