Join JLL as a Senior Building Operator and take ownership of critical facility operations in a dynamic data center environment. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with strategic oversight, where you'll manage everything from HVAC systems and emergency response to vendor relationships and compliance programs. You'll be at the forefront of ensuring seamless building operations while minimizing client disruption and maintaining the highest safety and performance standards.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Create documentation using the CHG process for work taking place in the Data Centre building.

Ensure that work performed in client space is accomplished with a minimum of disruption and is followed by adequate cleanup

Perform maintenance, monitoring repairs to the Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Furniture, Fire, Life Safety, and Control systems for the facility to keep facility and building systems up to applicable standards as assigned

Responds to all emergency situations quickly (fire, evacuation, equipment failure etc.) and customer concerns.

Implements and administers inventory control programs/purchase parts and supplies. Develops specifications and assists in solicitation and administration of maintenance/repair service contracts.

Establishes and monitors programs to ensure compliance with applicable codes, requisitions, government agency and company directives as relates to building operations.

Maintains responsibility for facility services, preventative maintenance, purchasing and inventory control, contracted maintenance, general maintenance and technical proficiency

Record readings and make adjustments where necessary to ensure proper operation of equipment

Maintenance of the equipment will include cleaning, inspecting, calibrating and changing parts to maintain the HVAC systems and associated equipment at optimum performance levels

Comply with departmental policy for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials; maintain a clean and safe workplace

Review monthly client service request summaries to pinpoint and correct recurrent operational problems

Evaluate vendors and suppliers on a regular basis with regard to quality and competitive pricing

Verify the accuracy of deliveries for count, pricing, and description

Perform periodic checks of tool and instrument inventory

Monitor the quality and pricing of maintenance work performed by outside contractors

Lead and/or assist with event setup/teardown activities including electrical, audio visual, coordinating with security or other tasks as needed

Perform additional job duties as requested

WHAT YOU BRING

Minimum 5 years building operations/maintenance experience preferred

Data center or mission-critical facility experience highly valued

Understanding of fire and life safety systems in commercial buildings

Familiarity with computerized building management and control systems

Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
