About JLL Projects and Development Services (PDS)

Our Projects and Development Services (PDS) team provides corporate and institutional clients with the management of design, construction, and relocation services to minimise risk and eliminate unnecessary cost.

Projects range from greenfield developments to major fit outs and refurbishments, from single one-off projects to state, national multi-site and regional roll-out projects requiring consistent nationwide delivery.

As one of the largest project management firms in Australia with a team of over 320 professional staff, we operate in sectors including commercial, industrial, education, data centres, hotels, retail, and defence.

What this opportunity involves:

We are seeking an experienced Building Consultant / UK educated BSc Building Surveyor / Chartered Building Surveyor (MRICS) or similar professional to join our growing Building Consultancy Team, which sits within Project & Development Services (PDS).

You will have access to our internal and external REIT / blue chip clients / WoAG contacts across various property asset classes.

Please note that this role can be based in Sydney, Melbourne, or Brisbane.

Snapshot of the role:

Technical Due Diligence (TDD) reports for acquisition / vendor purposes.Make good reporting and negotiations.Entry condition reportsGeneral condition reports.Perform Tenancy Due Diligence assessments.Develop capex and maintenance forecasting strategies.Provide expert advice on construction projects, property development, and asset managementManage building surveys and assessments across diverse client portfolios0Business development of internal teams clients and external clients.

Key Skills and Requirements:

Ideally a Bachelor's Degree in Building Surveying.Will also consider Diploma in Building Surveying / Structural Engineering / Architecture / Construction Management / Quantity Surveying / or related field.3-5 years relevant practical experience in building consultancy.Professional certification (MRICS, CIOB) preferred but not essentialDemonstrated ability across various property asset classes with experience identifying and communicating technical issues for Technical Due Diligence assessmentsAbility to write and present cohesive, coherent and technically sound reports for readership by high level executivesExcellent liaison skills with fellow professional consultants to source relevant information for compilation in reports and assessmentsProfessional demeanor allowing interaction with both internal teams and external clients in formal and informal settingsStrone knowledge of building services.Strong knowledge of building codes and regulationsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsWorking knowledge of RICS Building Surveying professional standards would be an advantage.Willing to travel for inspections.Must have appropriate Australian work visa eligibility.
