About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Bioinformatics Computational Scientist to transform how assays are designed and developed for oncology, infectious disease, and beyond. Your work will accelerate the discovery and development of assays that advance basic research, drug discovery, diagnostics, and plant/animal health globally. By merging computational biology, automation, modern data engineering, and artificial intelligence/machine learning, you will contribute to shaping the future of how biology is done.

In this role, you will:

Apply computational biology and AI/ML to automate and scale PCR-based assay design for real-time qPCR and digital PCR.Digitize and automate assay development by building end-to-end robust computational solutions and pipelines that replace manual processes with efficient, reproducible, and scalable workflows.Drive continuous innovation of bioinformatics tools and pipelines by applying large language models and machine learning frameworks to biological data, pioneering new ways.

Qualifications:

MS degree with 2+ years of experience or PhD in bioinformatics, computational biology, computer science, or related field.Deep expertise in molecular biology and genomic-based assay technologies.Proficiency in building computational pipelines and workflow automation.Hands-on experience in applying AI/ML models, including LLMs, to biological data.Proficiency in standard bioinformatics tools and modern ML frameworksStrong communicator who thrives both independently and as part of a global, interdisciplinary team.Passion for advancing the role of AI in biology to make a measurable impact on human health.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in cloud-based model deployment (AWS, GCP, or Azure).Background in infectious disease genomics (e.g., SARS-CoV-2, HIV, TB).Familiarity with wet-lab workflows and collaboration with assay development teams.Knowledge of assay readout analysis, performance evaluation, and statistical modeling of PCR data.
