Senior Big Data Engineer

What will you be doing?
Designing and developing ETL solutions to process big amount of medical data
Actively collaborating with Architect
Ensuring high quality supporting the design/redesign of solutions for big data & data warehouses projects
Delivering project estimations
Participates in solution architecture research, PoCs, feasibility assessments
Closely cooperates with teams and supports them in areas of collecting requirements, meeting with business stakeholders, providing consultation in defining/designing data flows
Continuously improving our data platform and reducing technical debt
Adjusts/Extends the design of conceptual, logical data model, leveraging best practices
Supporting introduction of new tools and migration to Azure cloud
Delivers the design of physical data models
Provide mentorship to team members on data engineering
Executes/Participates in development proces
Define development standards and promoting best practices
What is required to get the job done?
Experience:
8+ years of experience in data engineering, ETL design, and implementation.
5+ years of experience with batch processing.
5+ years of experience in data analysis, profiling, integration, and reporting.
Excellent knowledge of SQL and either Scala or Python (6+ years).
Big Data Platforms: Strong experience with Cloudera or Databricks.
Distributed Systems: Expertise in Hadoop Hive, Spark.
Data Pipelines: Experience in optimising big data pipelines and ETL solutions.
Cloud Platforms: Experienced with Azure.
Technologies: Experience with Apache Spark and Kafka.
Team Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and technical lead in your field

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is 217 300,00 zł - 461 700,00 zł. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
