Position Summary
The Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst plays a critical role in transforming data into actionable insights that inform strategic and operational decisions across the organization. This position will design, develop, and maintain high-impact BI solutions—ranging from
enterprise dashboards to analytical models—that empower leaders and teams to make data-driven decisions.
As part of the Business Process Improvement Team, the Senior BI Analyst will balance technical expertise with business acumen, ensuring analytics deliver both accuracy and strategic relevance. The role will collaborate closely with Data Engineering, Data
Governance, and embedded departmental analysts to build scalable, governed, and user-friendly analytics products that drive measurable business outcomes.
The ideal candidate is both a builder and a storyteller — someone who can model data, automate analysis, and communicate insights that shape business strategy.
Essential Functions / Key Areas of Responsibility
1. BI Development & Delivery
• Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models that deliver timely, actionable insights.
• Develop and manage reusable data assets (datasets, measures, semantic models) that serve as the foundation for enterprise
analytics.
• Ensure performance optimization, visual clarity, and data integrity in all BI deliverables.
2. Business Partnership & Insight Generation
• Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to understand business goals, translate them into analytical requirements, and deliver insights that inform decisions.
• Proactively identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities using data storytelling and visualization best practices.
• Lead stakeholder presentations, ensuring insights are clear, credible, and connected to business value.
3. Standards, Governance, and Handoff
• Partner with Data Governance and Data Engineering teams to align on data quality, accessibility, and definitions.
• Develop documentation, standards, and templates that promote consistency across departmental analytics teams.
• Build and hand off self-service BI solutions to business units when appropriate, providing training and support to ensure sustainability.
4. Enablement & Continuous Improvement
• Mentor junior analysts and contribute to the analytics community of practice.
• Drive automation of recurring reporting through Power BI, DAX, and integration with enterprise data pipelines.
• Evaluate emerging BI tools, features, and techniques to improve speed, scalability, and user experience.

Experience
• 5+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or analytics engineering roles.
• Hands-on experience designing and publishing reports/dashboards in Power BI (or equivalent enterprise BI platforms).
• Proficiency with DAX, Power Query (M), and data modeling for analytical performance.
• Experience partnering with data engineering teams on ETL, schema design, and data validation.
• Track record of managing analytics projects from concept through delivery.
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field required.
Technical / Specialized Knowledge
• Power BI (advanced user) and DAX.
• Intermediate knowledge of Oracle, Snowflake, and Postgres SQL for data exploration and validation.
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts (star schema, dimensional modeling).
• 2+ years’ experience with Python, R, or statistical modeling for advanced analytics.
• Familiarity with Snowflake, Azure Data Services, Databricks, or similar cloud environments.
• Strong Excel and data-storytelling skills.
• English, professional proficiency required
Preferred Qualifications
Experience
• Experience with Python, R, or statistical modeling for advanced analytics.
• Experience working within or supporting a Center of Excellence (CoE) or federated analytics model.
• Prior exposure to data governance, data literacy, or analytics enablement initiatives.
• Proven ability to design scalable solutions that balance enterprise governance with business agility.
• Strong understanding of business domains such as Finance, Sales, Operations, Customer Experience, or Supply Chain.
Certifications
• Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate.
• Tableau or equivalent BI certifications.
• Agile or Scrum certification.
