The Senior Engineer will analyze business requirements, design technical solutions, and support application development centered around Oracle Database and PL/SQL. This role may participate in multiple phases of the systems development lifecycle and will be responsible for design, development, testing, implementation, maintenance, and support of core database applications. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities:** + Analyze system requirements and define interactions between components. + Recommend approaches for new development or reuse of existing code. + Lead small to medium projects, assign tasks, and monitor progress. + Identify and recommend new technologies and methodologies. + Evaluate reporting, cost, security, and infrastructure needs. + Participate in testing, validation, and documentation activities. + Provide technical guidance and troubleshoot programming issues. + Write and review system specifications and technical documentation. + Contribute to project planning and execution. + Review test results and document corrective actions. + Ensure strong root‑cause analysis and reduce rework/schedule impacts. + Perform additional duties as assigned. **Education/Previous Experience:** + Minimum five (5) years of application development experience, with strong emphasis on Oracle Database and PL/SQL. + Financial services industry experience is a plus. **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:** **Technical Knowledge:** + Oracle, PL/SQL + REST APIs, Java, Data Structures + UI/UX exposure is a bonus **Technical Skills:** Strong experience with: + Stored Procedures, Functions, PL/SQL + ETL & data streaming concepts + Reporting and backend application development + Oracle & MS SQL Databases + Java 11, REST/SOAP APIs Familiarity with: + CI/CD, Jenkins, DevOps + Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Hibernate + Angular, JavaScript, CSS + ORM experience and banking/financial domain exposure strongly preferred. + Ability to support application development teams and document business processes. **Ability to:** + Solve complex problems independently with strong analytical thinking. + Make sound recommendations based on data and system analysis. + Communicate clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences. + Build collaborative relationships and maintain client focus. + Stay current with industry and technology trends. + Work occasional non‑standard hours, including nights/weekends/on‑call. **Licenses/Certifications:** + None required.
