The roleThe Food Systems Alliance at HelloFresh is focused on building and scaling global systems that support the entire food journey, from assortment and ingredient development to supply chain management technology. This includes key domains such as master data management, strategic procurement, applied science (covering areas like menu planning, personalization, forecasting, and operations research), supplier reliability, and inventory planning. With end-to-end ownership of critical supply chain functions, the Alliance enables efficient, consistent, and innovative solutions. This integrated approach supports faster software development, enhanced collaboration, and the delivery of scalable systems across global markets.
Our teams work at a large scale, solving complex problems across domains such as managing supplier contracts and a vast product catalog, forecasting demand, planning and executing purchase orders, communicating with suppliers, tracking inventory, and more. What you’ll do Work collaboratively in a cross-functional team of 6-10 members, utilizing diverse technologies and frameworks. Take ownership of the end-to-end process, including architecture, design, development, deployment, and operations of data pipelines, applying DevOps practices, pair programming, and other cutting-edge methodologies. Actively contribute as a solution-oriented member within autonomous, cross-functional agile teams, collaborating with product owners. Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of HelloFresh's core product and architecture, serving as an ambassador for software solutions and providing support and mentorship to colleagues. Work with state-of-the-art technologies like Kafka, RabbitMQ, Spark, Kubernetes, Istio, and more. What you’ll bring Strong backend development skills in a microservices architecture, with proficiency in Golang. Hands-on knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools, particularly Docker and Kubernetes and a solid understanding of CI/CD principles, with practical exposure to modern deployment pipelines Familiarity with software design and testing methodologies such as TDD, BDD, DDD, and distributed system patterns Well-versed in the full development lifecycle—from writing unit and integration tests to profiling, tuning, and deploying distributed applications Proficiency in working with both relational and NoSQL databases and experience with event-driven systems A collaborative mindset with a passion for mentoring and sharing knowledge, staying current with industry trends and best practices What we offer Health -You’re covered from your first day with private health insurance.
