Senior Backend Application Engineer

Key needs:All work must be conducted within the U.S. Ability to attain a Public Trust clearanceAs a contractor to the federal government, all hires may be required to complete additional background screenings at the time of hire or any time thereafter as requestedYou may be asked to travel once to pick up government-issued certification documents in person

What You’ll Do:Work as a member of a team building scalable APIs using KotlinHelp build ETL pipelines to source any external data requiredIntegrate with external service providersWrite automated tests that support the delivery of quality softwareUnderstand and support your application’s path to productionOperate within an agile development process

Requirements:5+ years of experience delivering resilient, well-tested, consumer-facing web applications written in Java or Kotlin3+ year of experience operating in a service-oriented environment2+ years working fundamental Java and backend application technologies: Spring Boot, Kotr, Hibernate, JPA, Rest APIs, Docker, Kubernetes, Grade, and GIT2+ years’ experience writing automated tests

Preferred Qualifications:

A good understanding of the fundamental technologies of the web: HTTP, SSL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and JSONA general understanding of containerizationStrong oral and written communication skills and the willingness to use themA willingness to learn and to share your own experienceA strong sense of ownership and engagement

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:

$98,124.00 - $166,810.00
