Who we’re looking for

Toyota’s Internal Audit Department is seeking a passionate and driven Senior Auditor to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys solving complex problems, and is committed to strengthening organizational controls and governance.

Reporting to the Internal Audit Manager, the person in this role will support the Internal Audit department's objective to provide independent assurance that the organization's control environment is operating effectively, and business operations are conducted in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations. 

What you’ll be doing

Audit Execution

Lead and perform complex financial, operational, and compliance audits aligned with the annual audit plan.

Conduct risk assessments, develop audit programs, and execute testing procedures.

Analyze evidence, identify control gaps, and propose actionable recommendations.

Communicate findings clearly through written reports and presentations to management.

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business processes and provide insights that drive meaningful change.

Build trusted relationships across the organization by offering thoughtful, sustainable solutions.

SOX

Execute testing of internal controls over financial reporting under SOX Section 404.

Ensure audit documentation meets internal and external quality standards.

Identify control deficiencies, assess compensating controls, and recommend remediation strategies.

Special Projects & Continuous Improvement

Support special projects, investigations, and strategic initiatives as needed.

Provide consulting services to enhance operational efficiency and risk management.

Pursue ongoing professional development and certifications.

Leverage data analytics and automation to improve audit effectiveness.

What you bring

Bachelor's Degree or higher in Business, Finance, Accounting, MBA, MIS, or equivalent

2+ years of experience in Internal or External Audit is required

Strong knowledge of internal audit standards and frameworks (IIA, COSO, COBIT, NIST, SOX).

Excellent communication and presentation skills with executive presence.

Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.

Added bonus if you have

Advanced degree (MBA or Master’s in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline).

Professional license or certification preferred: CIA, CPA, CISA, CFE, CFA, or similar.

Experience with data analytics tools (Power BI, Python, SAS).

Familiarity with audit management software (TeamMate+ or similar).
