Job Description

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Associate - Urban Designer to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will play a crucial part in shaping the future of urban environments through innovative and sustainable design solutions.

Lead and contribute to the development of comprehensive urban design projects, from concept to implementationCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create visionary master plans and urban regeneration strategiesConduct site analysis and research to inform design decisions and ensure context-sensitive solutionsDevelop detailed design guidelines and standards for urban development projectsCreate compelling visual presentations, including 2D and 3D renderings, to communicate design concepts effectivelyManage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful delivery of urban design projectsEngage with stakeholders, including government officials, developers, and community members, to gather input and present design proposalsStay current with emerging trends and best practices in urban design, sustainability, and smart city technologiesMentor and guide junior team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment

QualificationsMaster's degree in Urban Design, Urban Planning, or ArchitectureMinimum of 5 years of experience in urban design or a related fieldProficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and GIS softwareStrong 3D modeling and visualization skillsExcellent knowledge of urban planning and design principles, with a focus on sustainable and smart city conceptsExperience working on large-scale urban development projectsDemonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlinesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and presentation skillsProfessional certification in urban design or planning (e.g., AICP) is preferredExperience with public space design and transportation planningFamiliarity with local urban development regulations and practices in Saudi Arabia is a plusWillingness to travel and work on projects throughout the region
