Job Description:

Pfizer’s Strategy & Consulting (S&C) team works with Pfizer senior leadership to lead the development of holistic business strategies across Corporate, Commercial and Research & Development (R&D). As a team that works across the enterprise, we bring strategic connections and make a difference by combining robust consulting approaches with our intimate understanding of Pfizer’s business challenges. We collaborate closely with our internal business partners to develop shared goals and high impact strategies that enable Pfizer’s purpose-driven growth agenda and support our mission to deliver breakthroughs that change patients’ lives.

This role will work on projects across all four verticals within S&C: US Commercial, Global Commercial Platforms, International, and Corporate and R&D.

You will have frequent exposure to a variety of senior leadership (VPs, SVPs, and Presidents) across Pfizer’s business units, helping to build your network for a long and successful career at Pfizer. You will be reporting to a Director Team Lead or Senior Director who is invested in accelerating your growth and development at Pfizer.

Job Responsibilities:

As a Sr. Associate in this team, your main accountabilities will be:

Strategic Initiative Support: Support key strategic projects, ensuring they are aligned with the company’s long-term goals and delivered on timeQuantitative and Qualitative Analysis: Conduct in-depth research to identify market trends, diagnose internal processes, and evaluate potential risks, providing actionable insights to inform enterprise decisionsStakeholder Collaboration: Engage with senior executives and cross-functional teams to develop and communicate strategic recommendations and drive alignmentTeaming and Mentoring: Maintain a collaborative spirit, build personal awareness and model a continuous growth mindsetInteract with workstream leads to understand their business needs and begin to proactively support themUnder the direction of a project lead, own deliverables for workstreams that provide insight and direction for key strategic levers such as market development, customer needs assessment, competitive advantage, market and/or product prioritization, and opportunities at the BU, asset, or functional level.Develop and maintain an understanding of market dynamics to identify market trends and appropriately assess opportunities and guide strategic direction.Begin to formulate insights from external and internal sources to uncover patterns and extract novel insights to provide data-driven recommendations and effectively communicate complex information to project leadBring a team-first attitude to projects, creating an engaging and productive work environment where team members are encouraged to collaborate and excelParticipate in internal/external networking and thought partnership to broaden functional expertise and maintain awareness of industry trends

Qualifications:

Successful candidates for this role typically bring the following skills and experiences:

Minimum BS/BA with some relevant experienceRelevant healthcare experience includes experience working in/with commercial, corporate or R&D biopharma functions involving strategy development and/or strategic initiatives (e.g., marketing, commercial development, market access & pricing, business development, R&D strategy / portfolio management, etc.)Recommends problem solving approaches to support or refute hypotheses based on multiple identified paths. Shares insights that are relevant and going beyond standard templatesDemonstrated experience working on team-based projects, builds relationships and incorporates business partner working stylesStrong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Basic understanding of trends and market dynamics in US and Global healthcare and biopharmaceuticals, and understanding of the drug development and commercialization processPresents effectively to team members and less-tenured business partners in a variety of one-on-one and small group settingsDemonstrated high learning agility, “team player” mentality, pursues goals with clear focus while hiding inclusive interactions with colleaguesSeeks and acts on feedback,and eager to try new tasks and build skills; incorporates feedback moving forwardStrong command of English language, spoken and written.

Our roles require a high level of collaboration and are subject to Pfizer's flexible hybrid policy of 2-3 days per week working from our Walton Oaks Pfizer office.
