Join our dynamic Neurology Research Therapeutic Area team in Cambridge, MA, where we're dedicated to discovering and developing innovative therapies for patients suffering from neurodegenerative diseases. Our multidisciplinary team combines cutting-edge science with a collaborative approach to tackle some of the most challenging diseases affecting the central nervous system, including Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and ALS. We are committed to advancing the understanding of disease mechanisms and translating these insights into meaningful therapeutic solutions for patients.
Main Responsibilities
Perform experiments and studies in support of neurodegenerative disease research projects and company drug discovery goalsDesign, execute, and troubleshoot experiments in both in vivo and in vitro settingsEstablish and optimize iPSC-derived neuronal and glial cell culture models for disease modeling and drug screeningAnalyze, interpret, and present experimental results to team members and project stakeholdersDevelop and maintain neurodegenerative disease models, including handling laboratory animalsConduct animal procedures including necropsy, various injection routes (IV, IP, SC), and assist with intracranial stereotaxic surgeriesPerform cell culture techniques, qPCR, ELISA, and plate-based assays (MSD/SIMOA)Execute microscopy and cell-based imaging techniques to evaluate cellular phenotypesIntegrate multi-omics and human biology data to guide target validation and model developmentMaintain detailed and accurate laboratory records following scientific rigor standardsCollaborate effectively with team members and contribute to a positive team environmentSupport the development of new methodologies and approaches as neededQualifications & Experience
Bachelor's Degree plus minimum 4 years of relevant research experience in an academic or biopharmaceutical setting OR Master's Degree plus minimum 1 year of relevant research experienceStrong technical expertise in neuroscience research techniquesExperience with in vivo models of neurodegenerative diseases, including animal handling, necropsy, and various injection routes (IV, IP, SC)Proficiency in cell culture techniques, including 2D and 3D culture systemsExperience integrating human biology datasets (e.g., genomics, transcriptomics) into experimental workflowsProficiency in qPCR, ELISA, and plate-based assays (MSD/SIMOA)Experience with microscopy and cell-based imaging techniquesDemonstrated ability to work in a team environment and collaborate effectivelyExcellent documentation and record-keeping skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to prioritize and organize work to meet project deadlinesKnowledge of laboratory safety procedures and good laboratory practicesPreferred Qualifications
Experience with iPSC-derived cultures, including neuronal monocultures and co-cultures with glial cells in both 2D and 3D formatsCell culture electrophysiology experience (MEA, calcium imaging)Experience with binding assays for complex biologics (SPR, BLI/Octet)Experience with high-throughput screening and assay developmentExperience with intracranial stereotaxic surgeriesBackground in neurodegenerative disease researchFamiliarity with bioinformatics tools and data analysis softwarePrevious experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology research settingsWhat We Offer

The salary range for this position is:
$73.500,00 - $106.166,66All compensation will be determined commensurate with demonstrated experience. Employees may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs. Additional benefits information can be found through the LINK.
