Job Title: Senior Associate Scientist Location: Bothell, WA Compensation: $34.90- $37.28 Type: Contract Overview Global Pharma company looking to hire an experienced Associate Scientist to join their growing team. This role will help manage our client's internal protein inventory and assist with routine antibody purifications. Responsibilities + Regularly monitor, self-assign, and update inventory requests + Use LIMS interface and Excel workbooks to fulfill and document assigned requests + Manipulate protein samples under sterile conditions inside a biosafety cabinet + Purify antibodies with AKTA Avant equipment + Characterize purified proteins by UPLC, UV-vis, and Mass Spectrometry methods + Maintain detailed records of purification experiments in an ELN + Complete general lab upkeep including buffer preparation and basic FPLC/column maintenance + Communicate activities to the team and troubleshoot any issues, elevating problems to management as needed Requirements + Bachelor’s degree in STEM field (e.g., Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry) with 2+ years post-degree lab experience + Wet lab experience using pipettes and maintaining sample sterility using biological safety cabinets + Hands-on experience with FPLC protein purification + High attention to detail and successfully accomplishes meticulous work + Able to identify concerns, investigate solutions and escalate to management + Work in a team-based environment employing a solution-based approach? + ??????Manipulate protein samples under sterile conditions inside a biosafety cabinet + Regularly monitor, self-assign, and update inventory requests + Purify antibodies with AKTA Avant equipment Preferred Skills: + Experience with protein analytical methods (e.g., analytical SEC, HIC, mass spectrometry) + Experience keeping records in ELN systems + Writes or understands advanced Excel formulas and VBA or other coding languages Benefits System One offers eligible employees health and welfare benefits coverage options, including medical, dental, vision, spending accounts, life insurance, voluntary plans, and participation in a 401(k) plan.
