About the Role
Reporting to the Assistant Manager of Record to Report, this position shall be responsible to provide End-to-End accounting services from general accounting recording to provision of reporting and analysis services as per agreed/communicated timeline and in accordance to applicable accounting policies, standards and guidelinesJob Requirements:
Fixed Assets:
Perform Fixed Assets transactions in SAP
Maintain Fixed Assets register, ensuring all fixed assets are properly recorded and tracked in SAP system
Record fixed assets acquisitions and disposals in a timely and accurate manner.
Perform reconciliation & ensure completeness of depreciation posting from Fixed Assets to General Ledger on monthly basis.
Perform AUC transfer upon request with approval
Monitor AUC cost and ensure it timely transfer to Fixed Assets upon Project completion.
GLMS Lease Accounting (IFRS16)
Maintain Lease register, ensuring all lease contracts are properly recorded and tracked at GLMS system
Follow up lease contract before expiry date with stakeholder.
Handle lease modifications include changes in terms, or early terminations. Adjust the lease liability and ROU asset based on modification.
Generate lease entries from GLMS and prepare journal to be upload to SAP.
Prepare journal on rent adjustment entries.
Perform reconciliation and ensure completeness of lease entries posting to General Ledger.
Bank Reconciliation:
Perform weekly clearing of cash open item
Update all interest income and accrued income for fixed deposit in template from FD statement and upload for posting
To investigate and reconcile the differences on a timely basis
Prepare Bank Reconciliation Report monthly
Balance Sheet Reconciliation:
Perform balance sheet accounts reconciliations and resolve the unreconciled / open items in a timely manner
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
Prepare quarterly / semi-annual Group reporting template
Handle audit of local BUs by ensuring timely and quality delivery of items requested by the external auditors by coordinating with external and internal parties.
Develop and update Control Checklist, Training Materials and Business Process Manuals as and when new enhancement is identified, implemented and communicated for the current process and workflow to ensure continuity in the team
Others
Perform UAT as and when required
Perform other month end closing activities and ad hoc requests as and when required
Assist Assistant Manager/Manager, Record to Report on other projects and matters as and when required
Requirements:
Education: University Degree in accountancy or Accounting Professional Qualification (ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, CIMA, MICPA) OR currently pursuing Internationally Recognized Accounting Qualification (ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, CIMA, MICPA)
Preferably 2-6 years of experience in financial and accounting related field in an MNC
Able to speak, understand and communicate in Vietnamese.
Experience in a shared services or similar environment providing financial operations services to external/internal stakeholders
Knowledge of accounting standards and principles
Knowledge in the preparation of management and financial reports and analysis will be an added advantage
Knowledge of how the SAP Accounting System and Business Intelligence System work and designed, and familiar with using the systems is an added advantage.
Good interpersonal and communication skills to deal with local and group personnel at various levels.
Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
