Job Description & Summary

At PwC, our people in cybersecurity focus on protecting organisations from cyber threats through advanced technologies and strategies. They work to identify vulnerabilities, develop secure systems, and provide proactive solutions to safeguard sensitive data.

Those in penetration testing at PwC will focus on penetration testing (or pen testing) which is a security exercise where a cybersecurity consultant attempts to find and exploit vulnerabilities in a computer system. The purpose of this simulated attack is to identify any weak spots in a system's defences which attackers could take advantage of.

Education:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Communications, or related fields from reputed Indian universities.Certifications (Preferred):Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP)GIAC Penetration Tester (GPEN)GIAC Web Application Penetration Tester (GWAPT)Experience Required:3+ years of experience in Web and Mobile Application Security AssessmentDeep understanding of OWASP, OSSTMM, NIST CSF frameworksProven experience conducting manual and stealthy security assessments using offensive security tools (Burp Suite, Metasploit, Cobalt Strike, etc.)Strong programming/scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash, JavaScript, etc.)Expertise in modern application architectures, networking protocols, operating systems, and cloud security practicesExperience leading security engagements and mentoring junior team membersAdditional Qualifications (Nice to Have):Experience presenting at national/international security conferencesAbility to design and implement automation solutions aligned with client threat modelsFamiliarity with threat modeling and secure SDLC practicesSoft Skills & Communication:Strong executive presence and stakeholder management skillsExcellent written and verbal communication, with ability to translate technical findings into business impactExperience in client-facing roles, identifying and communicating value-added servicesStrategic thinking and decision-making based on risk and business performance trade-offsStrong facilitation, presentation, and project management skillsAbility to stay current with evolving digital threats and integrate insights into client security strategies
