Job Description & Summary

At PwC, our people in tax services focus on providing advice and guidance to clients on tax planning, compliance, and strategy. These individuals help businesses navigate complex tax regulations and optimise their tax positions.

In tax payroll services at PwC, you will provide advice and guidance to clients on tax-related payroll matters. You will facilitate compliance with tax regulations in payroll processing, assist businesses in calculating and withholding taxes from employee wages, and help resolve payroll tax issues.

Key responsibilities:

Manage and oversee all tasks related services provided to the assigned payroll clients including but not limited to the following.

Process and ensure a proper control of a full cycle of monthly payroll including raw data collection, overtime reports, payroll and allowances computation, payroll reconciliation, payments on client’s behalf via trust account, monthly/ periodically payroll related reports (i.e., payslips, costing reports, etc.) as requested by the clients;Deal with relevant Personal Income Tax (PIT) matters: tax code registration for staff and dependants, monthly/ quarterly PIT returns, PIT finalisation, individual PIT returns, etc. as requested by the clients;Understand well and process the statutory social/health/unemployment insurance (“SHUI”) matters including monthly reports, SI claims, reconciliation and other statutory labour reports.Ensure the computation is accurate, performed in a timely and efficient manner.Review the responses and advice t­­o clients drafted by Associates/ Specialists based on the experience and good understanding of the laws/ related guidances and clients’ issues.Create good relationship and liaise well with the officers in-charge of tax, SHUI and labour issues;Identify the significant or possible issues/risks to propose the solutions and timely escalate to higher levels;Assist Manager to supervise and review tasks performed by Assocciates/ Specialists;Participate in/ assist Manager in implementing team's projects and other ad-hoc tasks.

Job Requirements:

University degree, preferably in Human Resources Management or Finance and Accounting;At least 3 to 4-year experience in C&B role in relevant tasks with good knowledge of labour law, PIT law, SHUI law and related regulations.Experience in payroll software are preferable;Good at MS Office (Word, Excel);Good at communication and customer-oriented;Good at English, both speaking and writing;Good at numerical reasoning and logical thinking;Mature, careful and result-oriented;Project management skillAbility to work under tight deadlines, high pressure and complete tasks in a timely manner.
