Role Description:
The Enterprise Data Platforms (EDP) organization is part of the American Express Enterprise Digital and Data Solutions (EDDS) Group. EDP manages the Big Data Ecosystem which helps to centralize data across the company with built-in governance and democratization of access to a broad user community. The team is driving the future of our business by building products and platforms that deliver trusted and quality data for decision-making processes, big data applications, and analytical users. We are looking for a Sr Associate Product Manager for our partners closely with technology, business, and governance stakeholders to execute the modernization of data platforms, enhance analytical capabilities, and optimize user experience. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong product leadership, technical fluency, and an enterprise mindset — enabling innovation, operational excellence, and measurable business impact.
Primary Responsibilities:

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or above with work experience in information management, strategy, or the payments businessProduct management experience: 1–2-year experience in large scale data as a service products or digital platforms using Agile methodology is preferredProactive: you find a way to solve problems regardless of how unclear they initially appear2+ years of product owner experience in driving agile development processes to deliver new product asks.Strong understanding of products and services in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), cloud technology, BI Tools (Strategy, Tableau+, and Power BI) and third-party cloud productsKnowledge of big data platform architecture, data management, and newer developments in the industry.Highly organized and self-motivated individuals can combine problem-resolution, and critical thinking to apply a business lens to design customer-obsessed solutions.Demonstrated ability to translate data insights into strategic business recommendations. Strong problem-solving skills and experience in driving business results.Inherent customer focus with an ability to interact with leaders at all levels of the organization.Possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy, excellent communication & collaboration skills; ability to build relationships, partner with cross-functional teams to deliver on shared objectives.
