Location: Bowling Green, KY Category: Staff Posted On: Tue Sep 30 2025 Job Description: Western Kentucky University, a member of Conference USA and a Football Bowl Subdivision NCAA member institution, seeks to hire an individual for the position of Senior Associate Athletic Director of Compliance and Academic Affairs. This is a 12-month, full-time position. This position will report directly to the Deputy Athletic Director. Applicants must have a commitment to and responsibility for adhering to all rules and regulations of WKU, Conference USA and the NCAA. Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities The following duties are customary for this position, but are not to be construed as all-inclusive. Duties may be added, deleted and assigned based on management discretion and institutional needs. The University expects that all position responsibilities should be carried out in full compliance with all such rules and regulations. + Oversight on all day-to-day operations of the Athletics Compliance Office + Monitor all aspects of NCAA Compliance for all 16 WKU intercollegiate athletic programs + Monitor new NCAA legislation + Sport oversight: Sport(s) TBD + Active member of the University Athletic Committee + Provide education related to NCAA and Conference USA legislation to student-athletes, coaches, and staff in the areas of personnel, amateurism, recruiting, eligibility, financial aid, awards/benefits, and playing/practice seasons + Collect data and submit reports to the NCAA related to APR, demographics, and revenue distribution. + Compile and submit waivers and violations to the NCAA and Conference USA. + Supervise multiple staff members, both full-time and part-time. + Supervise complimentary admission process for student-athletes and prospects for all home football and basketball contests + Occasional travel to assist in complimentary admission process for away-from-campus football contests. + Review and sign off on recruiting travel reimbursements for coaches. + Coordinate coaches and sport programs needs to the Student Athletic Success Center staff + Assist Coaches with development of sport scholarship plan and associated budget Knowledge and Skills Considered Essential for Success: + Experience with NCAA waivers, monitoring, and international student eligibility. + Experience working with NCAA Eligibility Center and Compliance Assistant. + Understanding of NIL and Revenue share legislation + Working knowledge of NCAA rules, LSDBi and CA software. + Working knowledge of Teamworks Software + Sport administrator experience + Excellent oral and written communication skills. + Must be able to make decisions independently without oversight from supervisors. + Ability to handle confidential and sensitive situations with tact and diplomacy. + Must be able to use Microsoft Office. + Strong attention to detail. + Must be self-motivated and team-oriented. + Excellent organization, interpersonal, and communication skills. + Must be willing and able to work evenings and weekends. + Must be willing to travel on an occasional basis. + The duties and responsibilities of this position must be performed in a competent manner following the highest standards for leadership, professionalism, integrity, accountability, responsibility, cooperation and customer service.
