At PwC, we are combining our world-leading Sustainability & Climate Change practice with our market-leading broader assurance services to help clients successfully navigate the climate transition. We are seeking an Assurance Manager with a strong interest in sustainability to join our team in Uzbekistan. In this role, you’ll leverage your assurance expertise to build trust in non-financial and climate reporting, assisting clients in their journey towards sustainability reporting.

Responsibilities

● Establish relationships with clients as a trusted advisor on Climate & Sustainability assurance matters, including sustainability reporting, risk management, governance, and internal control.

● Collaborate with clients and engagement teams to adapt to a wide range of ESG frameworks and schemes, providing assurance expertise.

● Stay connected across the global PwC network to leverage emerging ESG trends relevant to our clients.

● Apply your experience with assurance frameworks such as GHG Protocol, ISO 14064, CSRD, ISSB standards and other relevant standards.

● Accurately assess sustainability footprints, risks and opportunities for businesses through robust assurance lens

● Identify sustainability and climate risks and opportunities

● Assist in business development and pitch assignments to engage potential clients by showcasing assurance expertise.

● Strengthen the firm with technical and thought leadership in areas like climate risk assessment and IFRS SDS reporting.

Essential skills & experience

● Strong track record of 5+ years of relevant experience within Big4 assurance and advisory practices

● Sustainability and/or Climate Change experience with relevant projects is a plus

● Highly evolved analytical skills

● Data management and visualization skills

● Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, particularly when communicating on an engagement to a wide range of stakeholders from senior management to project managers

● A graduate degree in finance / accounting / science

● Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively

● Fluency in English and Uzbek (both oral and written), Russian is a plus

● A well-developed personal network and relationships with a range of corporate organizations will be an advantage.
