About the Role
The Senior Lifecycle Marketer will partner closely with teams across marketing, product, design, strategy and research to influence how we can fuel growth throughout the customer lifecycle.
They will execute on our strategies to optimize engagement with our existing products and programs, while also assessing new opportunities through the lens of our customers' needs, all with the goal of driving long-term customer growth, so that we can help even more Canadians succeed with credit.

Strategy & Risk Focused: You use strategic frameworks that balance business and customer value, and translate a customer problem into actionable solutions.
Experiment Design Expert: You are naturally curious and are able to seamlessly strategize, design, and execute tests to enable ongoing learning and optimizations.
Relationship Builder: You have proven experience in collaborating with internal teams (i.e., Business and Data Analysts, Marketing, Legal, Creative, Product) to ensure projects are delivered on-time, within budget and meet our intended objectives.
Brand-Led Mindset: You include a diverse range of marketing tools and stakeholders in marketing programs. You use a range of creative thinking and storytelling to solve problems and drive organizational alignment.
Creative Eye: You have an eye for what makes creative great, ability to provide valuable feedback and guide your team on optimizing for various channels.
Your Responsibilities as a Lifecycle Growth Marketer:
Drive lifetime value growth (engagement & retention) by communicating to customers at key points in their journey.
Deploy personalized, targeted cross-channel campaigns within Capital One’s ecosystem (email, SMS, push, and in-app messaging), managing from creative briefing through to launch and results assessment.
Partner with analysts and marketing partners to develop tests that determine the optimal way to communicate, support and grow with current customers throughout their lifecycle.
Leverage customer data, test results, research and observations to craft actionable insights that help inform optimal lifecycle marketing strategies and product decisions.
Influence product and program roadmaps by bringing to the table your deep expertise of our customer, and competitive landscape to drive growth.
Partner with our research teams to oversee the execution and optimization of our research roadmap to effectively evaluate growth opportunities and marketing strategies.
Develop and conduct regular competitive reviews to help inform product strategies, testing agendas, and marketing tactics (i.e. messaging, channels, and segmentation & targeting strategies).
Educate the core team (and beyond) on the best way to engage with our customers to help influence how we develop products, make decisions and prioritize our efforts.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Commerce or related field
2+ years experience in a Lifecycle marketing role with a strong analytical background
2+ years experience designing and executing tests and campaigns across email, SMS, Web and in-app
Previous experience working with an internal or external creative design team
Previous experience working with internal or external research teams to design and execute studies
Proficient with Excel or Google Sheets to interpret data
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in basic coding and/or data visualization (e.g. SQL, Python, Tableau, QuickSight)
Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate complex topics with a variety of audiences
Experience collaborating with cross-functional partners such as analytics, product, creative, data, channel teams to execute projects effectively
Experience self-directing and being able to manage end-to-end campaign workstreams, including strategy, delivery and reporting
Experience in SEO
Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud
